Private Client, Funds And Corporate Business Expands Asia Footprint

, a corporate, private client and funds business, is expanding its presence in Asia by opening a new office in Hong Kong. The office, specialising in corporate services, will cater for clients online as Hawksford - www.guidemehongkong.com.  

The move follows the launch into Singapore last year, when the group bought Janus Corporate Solutions, and is part of a wider strategy to grow the company into an internationally recognised corporate, funds and private client company, the firm said in a statement.  

“When Hawksford expanded into Asia, it was only natural to start with Singapore and to cater for the ever-growing market interest by HNW individuals in Asia. The next obvious place to expand to in the region is Hong Kong,” said Jacqueline Low, chief operating officer of Hawksford in Asia.

The Hong Kong office, which was formerly a small arm of Janus, will be headed up by Julie Chu. Chu has more than 20 years’ experience in company secretarial and corporate administration roles. Her most recent position was as director of a large corporate secretarial services firm. She is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.

In the last four years Hawksford has completed the acquisitions of Key Trust and Trustcorp Jersey, and has established a presence in Switzerland and the Middle East.

Hawksford says it offers trusts, companies, foundations, partnerships, family offices, investment fund administration, succession planning and employee solutions.
It operates in Jersey, British Virgin Islands, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
